Target Fishing
Target fishing is a computational approach used to identify potential biological targets for a given drug or active small molecule.
Studies have shown that most known drugs act on multiple targets rather than a single one.
Multi-target activity is both the root cause of drug side effects and the basis for discovering new therapeutic effects. Therefore, predicting drug targets and exploring target–disease relationships are effective strategies for advancing disease treatment.
Based on comprehensive target databases, we have successfully developed a reverse virtual screening platform. This platform provides services including target identification and validation for compounds, investigation of novel drug activities, and analysis of drug toxicity and side effects. In addition, we offer integrated access to target-related information from databases such as PubMed, EC, UniProt, CAS, and DrugBank, along with detailed insights into target active sites.
| Target Screening Library Categories | Number of Targets | Number of Active Sites | Database Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Whole Target Database | 140 | 2119 | Fully Resolved Crystal Structures of Disease-Associated Targets |
| part Target Database | 506 | 5487 | Partially Resolved Structures of Disease-Associated Targets |
| scPDB Target Database | 3536 | 9275 | 733 Human Targets, with Data Sourced from the scPDB Database |
