BK 218 is a novel cephalosporin, which is active against streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenza, and Moraxella catarrase, but has a higher MIC against penicillin-resistant strains. Bk-218 has dual administration routes and the activity spectrum most similar to the second generation cephalosporins.
